Nationals team president Stan Kasten says that the club has not reached out to pitching coach Leo Mazzone.

The Washington Post reported early Tuesday that the team was considering Mazzone as their next pitching coach.

"I don't know why such a report would come out," Kasten said. "We have not had discussions with Leo Mazzone. Steve McCatty is our pitching coach."
