Giants All-Star right-hander Matt Cain left Saturday?s game against the Padres after getting hit by a liner in his pitching arm during the second inning, according to an Associated Press report.

A team spokesman said Cain had X-rays taken which showed no significant damage. The injury was diagnosed as a bruise.
