Alex Rodriguez had his best game of the season on Thursday, going 3-for-5 with a home run and 4 RBIs against the Braves.

"We needed that," he said after New York's 11-7 win over Atlanta. "I needed it. I felt like my body was reacting pretty well."

Rodriguez homered and also drew one walk.

New York manager Joe Girardi said Rodriguez will be in the lineup all three games this weekend.
