Members of the Cubs aren't buying into the idea that union leader Donald Fehr is retiring amid pressure. "I don't buy that," Cubs shortstop Ryan Theriot said of the leaking of names from a list of 104 positive steroid tests from 2003 influencing Fehr. "I have no idea," veteran Derrek Lee said. "But if I know Donald Fehr, no one's going to pressure him to do anything. He's a pretty tough-minded guy. I think that's what made him good at what he did." Average player salaries more than doubled in Fehr's last twelve years on the job. "He did a great job," Lee said. "It's sad to see him go."
