Yankees starter A.J. Burnett had a six-game suspension reduced to five games on Sunday.

Burnett's suspension begins immediately and his next start will be Saturday against the Mets at Citi Field.

The right-hander was suspended after throwing a fastball near the head of Nelson Cruz during a 12-3 win over Texas on June 2.

Earlier in that game, Rangers pitcher Vicente Padilla twice hit Mark Teixeira with pitches.
