Ivan Rodriguez will set the record for the most games caught in baseball history this week. He'll do so for the Astros, who are playing the Rangers in Texas as part of interleague play. Rodriguez began his career for the Rangers. "I just remember Pudge throwing guys out and being the best catcher in the league," Houston outfielder Hunter Pence said. "Now that we're teammates, I have so much respect for his accomplishments and what he's been able to do for so long and at such a high level." Pudge is batting just .246 with five homers and 26 RBIs, but his defense remains above-average. "I love everything about this game from A to Z," Pudge said. "It doesn't matter whether this is my first year or my 18th year, I treat every game like it's my first. Every game. Every day." Rodriguez is currently tied with Bob Boone (2,225 games) for second place on the all-time list. Carlton Fisk is first on the list with 2,226 games caught.
