Braves general manager Frank Wren says that there is no truth to rumors that the team is interested in Brad Penny.

"There is no validity to that," Wren said. "That has not even been discussed."

ESPN.com reported on Friday night that Atlanta and Boston were discussing a deal involving Penny, and possibly outfielder Jeff Francoeur.
