The Giants are looking for a bat, and Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla has reportedly piqued their interest.

San Francisco has made inquires about Uggla, according to an industry source.

It is believed that Florida will move Uggla at some point, mainly because he's earning $5.35 million this season.

The trade discussions are not believed to have reached the general manager level yet.
