Rangers center fielder Josh Hamilton is day-to-day after straining his groin against the Angels on Sunday.

He suffered the injury while crashing into the padded wall in right-center on a leaping catch.

"It was a slight strain of his groin," Texas manager Ron Washington said. "He didn't want to have to go out there and risk it."

Hamilton left in the seven inning with the injury.
