Fernando Tatis played shortstop for the Mets on Sunday night, the first time he's played the position in the major-leagues in 11 years.

New York's regular shortstop, Jose Reyes, missed his fourth straight game with a stiff right calf.

Infielder Alex Cora left the team's 2-0 loss to the Giants on Sunday night with a sprained thumb.

Tatis took over at short in the third inning, playing just his fourth major-league game at the position.
