Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano will make a rehab start for Class A Daytona on Sunday.

"If everything goes well, he will pitch [for the Cubs] Friday in San Diego," manager Lou Piniella said.

Zambrano has been out since May 3 when he strained his hamstring beating out an infield single.
