Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain altered his pregame routine on Saturday, and retired the side against the Twins in the first inning.

Chamberlain has struggled in the first inning this season, but threw more warmup pitches in hopes of getting into a groove sooner.

He struck out Denard Span and Brendan Harris in the first frame, with a fastball around 94-95 miles per hour.

Chamberlain lasted six innings, allowing two runs on three hits. He struck out six batters, while walking four on 108 pitches.
