ESPN has banned Selena Roberts from their network, but not because they have taken the side of Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez.

Roberts, the author of A-Rod: The Many Lives of Alex Rodriguez, rejected a job offer from ESPN eighteen months ago and joined Sports Illustrated.

She also gave her first interview to Bob Costas and the "Today" show regarding the A-Rod saga.

"By the time we had a chance to put her on, the story was four days old," ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys told the New York Post.
