The Marlins have placed pitcher Anibal Sanchez on the disabled list with a shoulder strain.

Sanchez was placed on the 15-day disabled list after the injury forced him to leave Thursday's game against Atlanta in the fifth inning.

After throwing a no-hitter as a rookie in 2006; he is just 1-4 this season with an ERA of 5.79.
