Yankees closer Mariano Rivera allowed back-to-back home runs for the first time in his long career on Thursday night.

"I wouldn't read too much into that," starter Andy Pettitte said. "The ball was jumping tonight."

Rivera hasn't allowed more than five home runs in any season since 1996, but has already allowed four this season.

"I've been doing my best," the closer said.
