Yankees manager Joe Girardi admitted on Tuesday that the team may not get third baseman Alex Rodriguez back on Friday.

"I don't know, a lot depends on how he feels," Girardi said. "I didn't want to say no definitely he is not coming back on Friday because, with Alex and how hard he works, it's a possibility. Any day before May 15 is OK with us."

Girardi revealed on Monday that a return in Friday's game at Baltimore was a possibilty.
