The Dodgers defeated the Padres 7-3 on Sunday, moving them to 10-0 at home this season.

The win allowed the team to set a new franchise record for consecutive home wins to begin a season.

The 10-0 start at Chavez Ravine eclipsed the mark set at Ebbets Field by the 1946 Brooklyn Dodgers.

"We're supposed to win at home. This is our field," winning pitcher Chad Billingsley said. "When you're sitting on the bench, you can see the intensity of the crowd. That makes a huge difference for us."
