Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman extended his hitting streak to 21 games on Saturday afternoon, the longest run in the major leagues.

Zimmerman doubled to left-center field off the Cardinals' Joel Pineiro to extend the streak.

He is hitting .298 with five home runs and 16 RBIs this season.
