Carlos Zambrano delivered a pinch hit single in the Cubs' loss on Thursday to Florida.

"I hope not," manager Lou Piniella said with a laugh when asked if Zambrano pinch hitting at bats would become a regular occurrence. "But you never know. He swings the bat. He went up there and stroked one real quick."
