The Pirates have lost minor league reliever Dave Davidson to the Florida Marlins, who claimed him off waivers and assigned him to Class AAA New Orleans.

Davidson, a left-hander who turns 25 this week, was designated for assignment last week to create space on the 40-man roster for outfielder Delwyn Young.
