Cardinals manager Tony La Russa can't believe that the Cubs got away with some comments about the umpires following a controversial strikeout of Milton Bradley last Thursday.

"Tony is not the commissioner," Piniella said in response to the St. Louis manager's criticism.

"He's a good friend and a heck of a manager," Piniella added. "But he's not the commissioner of baseball. Not yet, anyway."
