Brad Wilkerson has retired after an eight-year career, according to Pawtucket Red Sox manager Ron Johnson.

Wilkerson told Johnson that he was done after just the second game of the season.

"Second game of the season, he came in afterwards and that was it," Johnson said. "He didn't have the fire anymore."
