The Nationals and third baseman Ryan Zimmerman have reportedly agreed to a new contract worth $54 million, according to the Associated Press.

The new pact is expected to be worth $54 million over five years, and Washington is planning a news conference on Monday.

Zimmerman is hitting .275 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs this season.
