Royals starter Zack Greinke posted his first career shutout on Saturday against the Rangers, stretching his scoreless streak to 34 innings.

Orel Hershsier holds the MLB record for scoreless innings with 59.

"That kind of blew me away," Greinke said. "It's just about impossible to get to 34 nowadays. Fifty-nine, that's impossible. I would have been happy with 20."
