Minnesota outfielder Jason Kubel hit for the cycle on Friday night, capping it with a grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning.

The Twins defeated the Angels 11-9, thanks in large part to Kubel's five RBIs.

"That's not going to happen too many times," Kubel said. "So I'll take this one and go from there."

Kubel is the first Twin to accomplish the goal at the Metrodome since Kirby Puckett did it on Aug. 1, 1986, vs. Oakland.
