Struggling Yankees starter Chien-Ming Wang has been putting in extra work on the side in hopes of correcting his early-season ineffectiveness.

Wang is 0-2 with a 28.93 ERA.

"I have to keep working like I did today, I kept the ball down," Wang said Wednesday.

"Just to get the feel of seeing hitters," manager Joe Girardi said of Wang, who threw to Melky Cabrera and Cody Ransom as a workout.
