CC Sabathia righted himself on Saturday afternoon, helping the Yankees defeat the Royals 6-1 in Kansas City.

Sabathia shut out the Royals for 7 2/3 innings, striking out six batters for his first victory as a member of the Yankees.

"That's the CC we all know," said Nick Swisher. "I don't know much about pitching, but I know when he punches out the first batter of the game with a 96-mile-an-hour fastball, he's probably feeling pretty good."
