Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira missed Saturday night's game in Kansas City because of a sore wrist.

New York manager Joe Girardi started Nick Swisher in his place.

Teixeira, who turned 29 on Saturday, is hitting .250 with a home run and two RBIs through his first four games with the Yankees.
