Friends of free agent pitcher Pedro Martinez believe that he'll pitch in the Major Leagues this season.

"There is no question he's going to pitch," said a friend, who recently spoke to Martinez.

Martinez, 37, is reportedly looking for about $5 million annually, a price that some believe is steep for a pitcher that had a high ERA in 2008.
