In his first start of 2009, Andrew Brackman threw up a lot of fives; five innings, five earned runs, five hits and five strikeouts. Brackman's three walks and one unearned run were the two numbers deviating from the remaining fives.

The 30th overall pick by the Yankees in the 2007 MLB Draft is coming back from Tommy John surgery.
