Ken Griffey Jr. smacked a home run for the Mariners on Opening Day, the first game of his second tenure with the franchise.
He hit a solo homer off Minnesota's Francisco Liriano in the fifth inning.
Griffey slugged more than 40 home runs in a season six times as a member of the Mariners, who he played for from 1989 to 1999.
