CC Sabathia made his debut for the Yankees on Opening Day against the Orioles on Monday, struggling through 4 1/3 innings.

Sabathia threw 96 pitches, allowing six runs on eight hits. He failed to record a strikeout, while walking five batters.

During his time with the Brewers, Sabathia allowed just 24 earned runs in 17 regular season starts after arriving from Cleveland.

In fact, Sabathia went 5-0 for Milwaukee in August of 2008 with 51 strikeouts and just six earned runs.

Sabathia, who hadn't failed to record a strikeout in a regular season start since June 25, 2005, allowed as many runs on Monday as he did in the entire month of August last season.
