Tigers outfielder Magglio Ordo?ez admitted on Thursday that he was hurt by the booing he heard from some Venezuelan-American fans during the World Baseball Classic.

The negativity was in response to Ordo?ez's support for Venezuelan President Hugo Ch?vez.

Ordo?ez admitted that the boos hurt him, and said that it "bothered the whole team."

"In Miami, there's a portion of people who come from Venezuela who don't like Ch?vez," Ordo?ez said. "That (booing) probably was a relief for them."
