Cubs chairman Crane Kenney said recently that he wants to increase the team's number of home games from 30 to 50.

"Players like a routine," Kenney said according to a report. He said additional night games would relieve the team of playing some day games after arriving home from trips in the early-morning hours.

In an interview with reporters last week in Mesa, Kenney said: "We are not actively pursuing more night games with the city. And maybe we leave it at that."
