Andruw Jones plans to stay with the Rangers, possibly through the end of spring training, in an attempt to make the team's major league roster.

Jones will not opt out of his minor league contract Monday to become a free agent, three days after extending his original deadline of last Friday.

"They want me on the team, but it's a tough decision to make right now," Jones said. "So they told me to take a few more days and see what happens."
