Andruw Jones will remain with the Rangers through the weekend, even though he has not been named to the team's major league roster.

Jones had a provision in his minor league contract that he would become a free agent on Friday if he wasn't named to the team's major league roster.

He has extended the provision for an additional three days.

"We've got to the 23rd to make a decision and see what's going to happen," Jones said. "Both sides are OK with it. They asked me to give them a couple of more days to see what decision they're going to make. Now we just have to wait and see what's going to happen."
