Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels will return to the team's spring training camp Tuesday night after spending part of the day having his elbow examined by team physician Dr. Michael Ciccotti, as reorted by ESPN.com.

The diagnosis was inflammation of his left elbow, and Hamels received a shot of anti-inflammatory medication. No structural damage was found, and Hamels plans to resume throwing within two days.
