Free-agent reliever Joe Beimel, who is believed to have offers from the A's, Rockies, Dodgers and Rockies, is reportedly close to choosing a team.

Beimel is believed to be the best relief pitcher available on the free-agent market.

He went 5-1 with a 2.02 ERA in 71 appearances with the Dodgers in 2008.
