Dodgers manager Joe Torre has defended slugger Manny Ramirez, who has been criticized by former Red Sox teammates for having a negative presence in the clubhouse.

Torre said that Manny has been "no problem whatsoever."

"People certainly have their opinions, they're entitled to them, but that stuff doesn't move me one way or the other," Torre said.

"My concern is Manny and how he plays for the Dodgers, and so far so good."

Boston closer Jonathan Papelbon famously called Ramirez a "cancer" earlier this week.
