Aaron Heilman wasn't a member of the Mariners for very long and never threw a pitch for them in Spring Training, let alone a game, but he commented on how well the fans treated him. This is undoubtedly a veiled criticism of the way Mets fans treated him.

"Like I said, I'm ecstatic to be a Cub," Heilman said. "My time out in Seattle was great, short-lived as it was. Guys were great, front office, staff was great. Fans treated me well when I was out there, and I think I would've enjoyed playing out there as well."
