Tigers manager Jim Leyland wants to see his team produce this spring, regardless of whether or not his regular players are in the lineup.

"We're getting to see these (young) guys, and they'll find out what it's like up here," Leyland said. "It's a good experience for them. They don't lay them on the tee for you."

Detroit was expected to led the Major Leagues in runs scored last season, but struggled.
