With his second consecutive start at second base, the White Sox's Gordon Beckham went 3-for-5 with three doubles in a 9-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers, raising his Cactus League average to .333 with two home runs.

Beckham is pushing his way into conversations on making the team with the White Sox looking to fill a void at second.

"He's had a great spring training, and he's making it tougher on us to make that decision," Ozzie Guillen said. "He continues to impress everybody. It seems like he belongs in the big leagues. We have 30-something games left. If he continues to do that, then we have to think about what we're going to do.

"I'm not afraid to play with the kids. This kid wasn't even in my mind to make this ballclub. Now, as he gets more at-bats, he's swinging the bat well and he's swinging against the good ones. You look at who he's facing, and it seems like he's not having a problem against anyone. I hope he makes my job pretty tough at the end of spring training."
