One week after cutting a batting-practice throwing session short because of right shoulder fatigue, Boston's Brad Penny resumed throwing on Sunday.

"I was using my lower half more," said Penny. "I felt pretty good. [In] Spring Training, you're not always in-tuned with mechanics and stuff like that, and today was probably the best I've felt, overall, with mechanics and the way I felt."

No timetable has been set for his first start in a Red Sox uniform.

"I don't want to set my mind on something and then have it be a little longer than I'd like," said Penny.
