Vernon Wells has progressed in his recovery from the pulled hamstring that he suffered on Feb. 23.

On Friday, the outfielder participated in some light running drills for the first time since the injury.

"I'd run 10 yards, jog 10 yards, accelerate for 20 yards, maybe going up to 60 to 70%," Wells said Saturday. "It felt pretty good and the main thing is there's no soreness."
