Mets And Ivan Rodriguez Still Making Eye Contact

Newsday - Ivan Rodriguez and the Mets have their eyes on each other.

"I think that's a great fit," Rodriguez told The Associated Press. "Having me there [with] a young pitching staff ... could be good for the team. Hopefully, the Mets can do whatever they need to do to have a spot for me."

The Mets won't be able to sign Rodriguez unless they can move Ramon Castro, who is owed $2.25 million this season. [READ]
