The soreness that Yankees catcher Jorge Posada felt in his right shoulder over the weekend doesn't appear to be a serious problem.

"I threw a little bit today," Posada said on Monday. "I warmed up. It felt better than [Sunday], obviously."

Hitting hasn't bothered Posada, but one of his routine stretches did: holding the bat with one hand on either end and lifting it backward above his head.

"I was batting lefthanded, and I almost did it again," Posada said. "If I'm not doing it now, I probably won't do it [at all this year]."
