The Cubs decision to trade Mark DeRosa to the Indians shocked the versatile right-handed hitter.

"No," he said when asked if it makes sense to him now. "You walk a fine line, though, because I want Cleveland to know how excited I am to be here. But at the same time, yeah, I was completely surprised. I don't understand why they made that move."
