The Athletics are reportedly thinking about adding free-agent Nomar Garciaparra to their infield.

Garciaparra received interest from the defending-champion Phillies earlier this offseason, but didn't jump at the chance to return.

He batted .264 in 55 games for the Dodgers last season, as he battled injuries.
