The Braves and free agent pitcher Tom Glavine have moved closer to reaching a deal that would allow the future Hall of Famer to play for Atlanta this season.

A major league source told FoxSports.com that the Braves made an offer on Monday that would be close to the $4.5 million Glavine is reportedly seeking on a one-year deal.

A deal could be reached as soon as Tuesday.
