The Mets have added Livan Hernandez to a crowded list of pitchers hoping to make the team's five-man rotation.

Hernandez reportedly signed a $1 million minor-league deal with $1 million in performance bonuses.

He will join Freddy Garcia, Tim Redding and rookie Jon Niese in the race to be New York's No. 5 starter this season.
